Freelensing help and tips

After a year running the Freelensing group on Flickr, helping and getting feedback from people experimenting with different cameras and lenses, I thought it would be good to have a bit of a round-up of tips and tricks. Flange focal distance Or: why you should try a Nikon lens on a Canon body Coffeeground and simon.hucko [...]

Project 365 Calendar 2010

Project 365 Calendar 2010

If you’ve decided to participate in Project 365 this year, you might start to find it difficult to keep track of which number day it is in the year once you get out of January – I know I did when I did my Project 365 last year. Last year I made a special Project [...]

Project 365 2009 Completed

365 Fragments

The project is complete! I took one photo every day in 2009 and the above mosaic is the result. Definitely a worthwhile experience and it’s very satisfying to complete such a long running project.

Looming

Looming

Back

My favourite photos from New York City Well I’m back from New York City – had a really great time. Having only spent a couple of days there previously I was left wanting more. After spending 5 days this time, I still want more. I was almost afraid I wouldn’t like it as much and [...]

Going to New York. BRB.

Church

In the meantime, here are a few shots from a short walk up Malden Road. There were more, but my connection isn’t working properly and won’t upload the rest.

My Top 5 Flickr Photos

Helvetica

5. Helvetica This one kind of surprises me. I wouldn’t have counted it as one of my top five photos – even from the other photos in that area I didn’t think this was the best. I do love the capital R in Helvetica, though. The swirls in the graffiti seem to match the rounded [...]
